Often rebuilding a set of original or used heads is a risky proposition, especially when the casting has seen many, many heat cycles. Our new Brazilian VW Type 1 heads feature a OEM style casting that combines original VW reliability with new components for years of future service. These heads feature a Brazilian casting by Auto Linea, a supplier of many cast VW engine parts including engine cases and cylinder heads. The heads are cut to a stock 1600 CC bore of 85.5 mm. They also feature stock 35.5 mm stainless steel intake valves and 32 mm stainless steel exhaust valves. A factory casting number of 040 101 0375 13 means that these heads are approved for competition in the SCORE Class 11 racing series, which requires the use of VW 1600 CC engines. These heads can be used in factory rebuild applications as well. Every component in each cylinder head is brand new to ensure reliability and quality performance in many applications. Each head is ready to be bolted on to your engine right out of the box. They can also be machined for larger cylinder bores, or modified to suit your engine. The heads accept stock Bosch 7902 14mm 1/2 reach spark plugs. The EMPI part number for these heads is 98-1356-B. A limited supply of these factory replacement heads are available.
